Video Conferencing on Your Own Servers

One-to-one calls, group calls and video conferences in the same application as your team’s messages, with screen sharing, recording and AI summaries. All of it on servers you host.

Overview

Talk Live Where Your Team Already Writes

Sover brings live discussion into the same environment as team messaging: one-to-one audio and video calls, group audio calls and video conferences, in the application people already use to write to each other.

Call quality adapts to network conditions. Calls and conferences run on your own Sover deployment, and meeting capacity is sized for that deployment.

Capabilities

Calls and Meetings in One Application

  1. Audio and video calls between two people, with automatic quality adjustment when the network is poor.

  2. Group audio calls with several people at once, and multi-party video conferences sized to your deployment.

  3. Share your screen during a call from the web and desktop apps. The desktop app offers full-window and application selection.

  4. Record calls where your deployment configuration and client allow it, under a recording policy you agree in advance.

  5. The built-in AI assistant transcribes voice calls and summarizes conversations, so people can review a meeting afterward.

  6. When a live call is not needed, send a short voice or video message that people play when they can.

A Meeting, Start to Finish

One Meeting, from the Calendar to the Summary

Plan the meeting, present in the call, then review what was discussed.

  1. Plan It in the Calendar

Plan meetings in the Sover calendar. With the Outlook plugin, people can also schedule them in Outlook and join the video call from there.

  2. Present in the Call

Share a screen from the web or desktop app and talk the document through with everyone in the call.

  3. Follow Up with a Summary

The AI assistant transcribes the voice call and summarizes the conversation. Review the summary before you rely on it as a record of decisions.

How It Works

Meetings Run on Your Servers

Conferencing is part of the Sover deployment you operate, so the decisions about capacity, recording and AI stay with you.

  1. Host It Yourself

Calls and video conferences run on your Sover deployment, on infrastructure you control, together with the rest of the platform.

  2. Size It for Meetings

Meetings bring their own participants, media streams, screen-sharing traffic and recordings. Size and test them alongside messaging.

  3. Agree a Recording Policy

Decide who may record, where recordings are stored and how long they are kept before you record sensitive or regulated conversations.

  4. Enable the Assistant

Confirm the AI assistant’s availability and access in your deployment, then use transcripts and summaries to review each call.

Included

What Is Included, and Where the Limits Are

Included

  • Calls. One-to-one audio and video calls, and group audio calls with several participants at once.

  • Video conferences. Multi-party conferences; the number of participants per call depends on the deployment’s sizing.

  • Screen sharing. During calls, from the web and desktop apps, with full-window and application selection on desktop.

  • Call recording. Available subject to the deployment configuration and the client.

  • AI assistant. Voice-call transcription and conversation summaries.

  • Network adaptation. WebRTC-based calls with automatic quality adjustment for poor network conditions.

Stated Limits

  • Capacity is sized, not fixed. Meeting capacity is sized for your deployment; a messaging user count does not establish a meeting limit.

  • Recording follows your policy. Agree who may record, where recordings are stored and how long they are retained. Message retention settings do not automatically govern recordings.

  • Screen sharing is for web and desktop. Plan presentations from the web or desktop app; behavior varies by client and device.

  • AI output needs review. Confirm the assistant’s availability in your deployment and review its output before relying on it. A summary does not create or assign tasks.

  • Federated groups differ. Calls in a group shared with another Sover instance depend on each connection’s policy and on the client.

  • Not every feature on every client. A client being available on a platform does not mean every call feature works there; confirm the clients your participants will use.

Does Sover support voice and video calls?

Yes. Sover supports one-to-one audio and video calls, group audio calls, and video conferences, bringing live discussion into the same environment as team messaging.

Can meetings be recorded?

Recording is available subject to the deployment configuration and client. Agree who may record, where recordings are stored, and how long they are retained before using recording for sensitive or regulated conversations.

How many people can join a video conference?

Meeting capacity is sized for the proposed deployment. The number of simultaneous meetings, participants, video streams, screen shares, and recordings all matter; a messaging user count does not establish a meeting limit.

Can Sover transcribe calls and summarize conversations?

Yes. Sover's AI assistant supports voice-call transcription and conversation summaries. Confirm availability and access in your deployment, and review generated output before relying on it as a record of decisions.

Can Sover integrate with Outlook?

Yes. Sover has an Outlook plugin for calendar and meetings. It is not a chat client; confirm the supported Outlook version and deployment configuration for the planned rollout.
